My mom threw a huge fit today.
I was having my lunch, enjoying myself, and suddenly she comes in with,
"Hey! What are you doing?! Don't throw food on the floor! Why are you doing that?! Don't you realize how wasteful that is?! Don't you know the amount of energy that went into making this food?!"
Ah, no. I'm a baby.
Perhaps you've noticed an exclamation point after each question mark in the last paragraph, well, this is to indicate her tone of voice and how high and excited it was, and p.s. those questions she was asking me were rhetorical, I can only guess, because she sooo did not give me any time to respond.
Anyway, she went on,
" Now Finlay'll have to eat that food because to simply throw it in the garbage is unacceptable, we are lucky to even be able to afford good food, in some places it's a luxury!" and she went on and on, blah blah blah, okay I get it, but you know what? Why don't you start turning off some lights when you leave the room, or turn off the stereo when you go out or walk a few places instead of driving or, I don't know, but don't blame me for being wasteful when you, my lady, are guilty as charged.
