I flew to New York with my mommy to surprise her best friend Rachel (aka RayRay) for her birthday. This is what RayRay's face looked like when she saw us standing in her office. Her eyes all bugged out and she screamed and was very happy and said she thought it was the most surprised she'd ever been in her life. That made my mom very happy. She loves RayRay and so do I. RayRay gives the best hugs.

This picture is back in March at Nia and Ian's.
It's the night RayRay busted my mom's chops about always forgetting her birthday and it was that night that my mom hatched her plan to fly to New York and surprise Rachel, thus NOT forgetting RayRay's birthday this year.

This is my aunt Natasha.

She's my mommy's sister.

She came all the way from another country called Canada to visit me. She is the most beautiful Canadian I've ever seen. She is such a genuine person that her eyes sparkle. I sleep in my parents bed right now and I've heard lots of their private conversations and mommy always tells daddy that she loves Natasha so much because she is a wonderful and kind human being. I'm a human being too. I know this because my daddy is always saying, "You're a little human being!"
We drove Aunt Natasha, Uncle Brant and my cousin Lola to the airport today because they're going back to Canada. My mom was happy because she got to take the rented minivan back. "It's too fuckin' big!" mommy kept saying, "Sure it's nice to have the doors open automatically, and there's all that space for the strollers and the dogs but it also took what's left of my sexuality and put in a polyester pant suit." I'm not sure what that means except I know mommy felt middle aged driving that Caravan around. Anyway, mommy was also sad and was talking to herself on the way home saying, "Why does Natasha have to live so far away!" So I decided to have a melt down so mommy would stop feeling sorry for herself and deal with me. It worked.

Doesn't it look like my head could fit inside Lola's head.

This is my cousin Lola. She's really cool.

She's exactly 7 months older than me, so right now she's 3 times older than me. That's a LOT!!!!

She knows so much and does so much that I can't do yet, like, she can roll over and she can sit up on her own. She can say Dada and she can say ball AND do the sign for ball too.

She also eats real food like mommy and daddy, drinks from a sippy cup and she gets to sit at the table too.

Lola is so lucky to be 10 1/2 months old.

Today we went to get my passport. My mom is taking me to Canada in July to visit mamie and papie Bick and we need a passport to get in and out of the United States. It used to be that you didn't need a passport to go to Canada or Mexico but not anymore. My mom blames George Bush, our current president. But then she blames him for everything. As does most of America right now. He's a crappy president. He has destroyed all the good will America used to have worldwide when Clinton was in office. Plus he got us into a war with Iraq under false pretenses and all kinds of other illegal things he's done while being "the decider". I watch The Daily Show with John Stewart on Comedy Central everyday with my mom so I can learn what a crappy president Bush is while at the same time having a good laugh. I'm not worried because I'm just a baby, but my mom is worried that she is destroying the planet and will be leaving me to clean it up. My mom doesn't like messes. She's very particular that way. I think she has OCD. She's always organizing and arranging things and cleaning all the time. Yesterday she asked the cleaning lady, Rosario, to clean out the garbage can. I mean garbage goes in there, it's not supposed to be clean!

This is my best friend
Sadie.
She was born 6 weeks
before me.
She is a lot older.

We go to Mommie & Me movies at the Grove every Monday.
Today the movie was Georgia Rules and it was so bad that my mom got really upset and talked about it all day, how bad it was, and how disappointed she was because she'd seen Jane Fonda interviewed on Larry King Live and she decided it might be a good movie because Garry Marshall directed it and Felicity Huffman was in it, and she was so brilliant in Transamerica, and it should be good but it wasn't good. AT ALL. It was crap. Mommie said she could write a better movie. But the thing is - she doesn't. And the fact that she doesn't write a movie at all means that she really doesn't have a right to be critical about someone else sitting down and actually writing a movie. But I'm not saying that to her!
Something funny did happen at the movie though. Sadie pooped her pants big time! And it all came exploding out the top of her diaper and me and mom and Jojo had a huge laugh about that, it was the best part of the movie.

I am 3 months old today. Yesterday I laughed. My mom had me on the couch in the office and she was looking at me, making ridiculous noises and talking in a really high voice when I put my hands by my face and laughed. It was quite coy. She got so excited and took me downstairs to the bedroom where my dad was asleep. She tried to make me laugh again in the bedroom before waking dad up but I didn't laugh. So she took me in the bathroom and put me in that little chair by the toilet while she went pee. During her pee, she kept saying to me, "Mommie is peeing. Pee pee, pee pee, pee pee, pee pee, pee." And then suddenly I laughed again. And okay, I like laughing but I have to say my mom LOVES it when I laugh. She got all excited again and started saying it faster and in an even higher voice, "Pee pee, pee pee, pee pee, pee pee, pee! Mommie is peeing!!" I laughed some more but this time really it was only to please her.

This is my Gram.
Isn't she so beautiful.
I can't wait to go shopping with her and help her in her store where she sells ladies purses.
